Rather than charging a full commission to renters and landlords, myCityApartment.com offers rewards on all apartments listed on the website. By representing renters, myCityApartment.com is paid up to 1 month of rent by either renters (referred to as "full fee"), landlords (referred to as "no fee"), or a mix of both (referred to as "1/2 fee"). The reward is given out of this payment to myCityApartment.com and it is paid out to renters within 6 weeks of moving in. Q. Are there any extra charges to using myCityApartment.com? A. Absolutely not! We do not charge anything additional for our services although normal brokerage fees apply to some apartments where they are not paid by the landlord or management company. By representing renters in our transactions, we do not set brokerage commissions and we are paid whatever amount has already been agreed upon between listing brokers and landlords or also what is determined by management companies. Our reward makes our offer a great money saver for renters who will never have to pay a full brokerage fee with us. Q. What if the apartment has separate offers, such as "one month free" or "no security deposit," will I get these promotions in addition to my reward from myCityApartment.com? A. Yes. All offers from apartment managers, landlords, and listing brokers are offered in addition to myCityApartment.com's cash reward. Q. I viewed an apartment and then found it on your site, can I still get the reward? A. No. A myCityApartment agent must be present the first time that you see an apartment in order to receive the reward. Q. If I find an apartment through another source besides myCityApartment.com, can I check if it is eligible for a reward? A. Yes. You can send us a link to the apartment and we will let you know if it is eligible for a myCityApartment.com reward. You will not receive any rewards on apartments that you have already viewed without a myCityApartment agent. Q. Who schedules appointments to view apartments, and how do I create "My Tour" on your site? A. In order to schedule appointments, you should first add apartments to your tour by clicking the green "Add to My Tour" button on the listing. If you have not yet logged in or registered for the site, you will be prompted to do so. Once you have added your selected apartments to your tour, click the red "Finalize My Tour" button and select the times and dates that you'd like to view the apartments. We will do our best to schedule appointments around your times/dates selected and will contact you once we have.
